Law of Attraction and Our Action

I subscribe to the Abraham-Hicks daily words of wisdom. If you’re not already a subscriber, I highly recommend them. You can do that at www.Abraham-Hicks.com. There is nothing more uplifting to me when opening up my computer than to take them in and then do my best to apply them to my life each morning. It just starts me off on the right foot.

And I can’t tell you how many times it seems to be exactly what I needed to hear….a loving lesson from our non-physical friends. ”Some of you would call us angels”, says Abraham.

Today I was thinking about all the unnecessary action we take and wheel spinning we do when trying to control what we’ve already asked the Universe for. This is a big problem for most of us including me. Human nature some would say.

Well, as most of us know, understanding the law of attraction and applying it to our lives is a constant challenge. Just when we think we understand it pretty well and are on the right track we often seem to sabotage ourselves.

Everything I’ve asked for feels right and calm and good in the beginning when it’s a new and exciting thought…..a new intention. And I know that my work after asking is just to stay happy and be. How easy! Anyone can do that, right?

Then if we think about what we’ve asked for as just a “little” thing…..we can easily blow it off our hand into the Universe like we would a feather and just forget about it. Then when it manifests, we say, “Oh, yeah! I kind of remember asking for that”, and smile as we would if receiving that proverbial parking spot.

But why can’t we do that if we feel it’s a “big” thing……like a job…a car….a house or a small fortune that hasn’t materialized yet? Why can’t we just go and play and forget all about that, too?

We’re told that the action we take to help any intention along should feel inspired, but do we really wait for that feeling to come before we act? Or do we just one day wake up and decide that we’re going to do this and this in order to get that?

If we start action after deciding, it seems to escalate into a control issue pretty fast….like “I’ll take it from here”…”I’ll think of something”…”I’ll try this”…..and we find ourselves careening downhill at breakneck speed….working ourselves to death….burning the candle at both ends…busy, busy, busy…..tired and exhausted.

And then hopefully….sooner or later….somewhere in the cobwebs of our minds….comes the faint memory….”There’s nothing more important than my being happy”……and we say, “Oh, yeah. I forgot that part. And what I’ve been doing in my action hasn’t been making me happy.”

At that point can we get back to that original feeling again where we first put thought to that intention? Can we just happily daydream about it a couple of times each day and keep building on and adding to that story in our minds as if it were already completed and let it go? Being in a happy state of vibration each time we think about our intentions is the only way they are ever coming….even when we’re helping with our action.

“Take the time to line up the Energy first, and action becomes inconsequential. If you don’t take the time to line up the Energy, if you don’t find the feeling place of what you’re looking for, not enough action in the world will make any difference.” Abraham

Happy Vibrations!
